Obituary
Sgt. Jacob Colin Patterson, 26, of Marengo, died February 3, 2022, in a motorbike accident in Augusta, Georgia.
Jacob was born March xiv, 1995, in Woodstock, Illinois the son of Aaron and Amanda Patterson. He was homeschooled through 8th class and and so graduated from Marengo High School in 2013. He proudly served in the United States Regular army for 5 years in Indicate Corps then continued every bit an active-duty Cyber Security Sgt. in the reserves.
Jacob was smart, funny, kind, and generous. His laughter was contagious, and his smile could brighten whatsoever room. Jacob loved people, animals, the outdoors, and riding his motorbike. He was audacious and lived his life fully and fearlessly. He was a loving son, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Aaron and Amanda Patterson, his blood brother, Tyler (English) Patterson, and sis, Rachel (David Left) Patterson, past his grandparents, George and Nancy Wojtko, Diana Udey, and Alfred and Diana Caskey, also by his aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Carlos) Arevalo, Matthew Udey, Anna Udey, and Colin Caskey and by his cousins, Victor, CJ, Kathryn, Wyatt, Adam, Tune, and Logan.
Visitation will exist on Saturday, Feb 19, 2022, at Kickoff Assembly of God Church building in Marengo, 22817 W Grant Hwy, from 10am-12pm. The funeral service will begin at noon and it will be available live on Facebook and YouTube @ Marengo Start Associates of God. Burying volition exist in the Marengo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Patterson family for a hereafter memorial in accolade of Jacob.

Jacob was in my English class at MCHS. The first image that came to mind was his sweetness, smiling confront and willingness to talk, particularly to the teachers! I am so pitiful to hear this news. It doesn't surprise me that many are writing about what a great friend Jacob was to them. His smile and kind nature will be remembered likewise as his service.
