Let me start by saying nosotros have been pet plan subscribers at Banfield for roughly 10+ years. We have 3 dogs which Banfield does not hesitate to deduct $120+ A month out of our checking business relationship for. Our domestic dog has been dealing with diabetes for ~5 years and recently has begun having issues with his glucose spiking and going below minimums. Due to this Dr. Hayden ** suggested nosotros put him on a glucose monitor and return to meet him on Mon. Reschedule day to nourish appointment, yet Dr. ** was nowhere to exist found.
Meanwhile, other doctor who was in that location, Dr. **, refused to see our dog or even come out to chat nearly what we should do. Even though I was able to provide graphs showing his blood sugar was dipping into the danger zone. They propose we motility appointment to this morning to which we did for a virtual appointment. We log on to appointment- no Dr. **. Nurse states he refuses to talk to us because he believes we aren't following his plan and to take our dog to medvet.
In Summary- Dr. ** is by far the most unprofessional veterinarian I have ever met. I have never had a medico refuse to even talk to a patient or pet owner. To take the stance that he is simply done with our dog is unbelievable. I will be filing a BBB complaint and suing to accept my pet plan membership charges refunded. I encourage whatever person checking these reviews to determine if they should go to this clinic to reconsider. For anything beyond standard bank check ups and teeth cleanings that they CONSTANTLY desire you to pay for, other things don't seem to be their specialty. Abiding referrals to Med Vet to spend more money volition be in your future. They will strongly push for you to bring together their pet plan merely I clinch y'all, it's not worth it and y'all will exist wasting your coin.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. If I could rate Banfield at Middletown aught stars, I would. Banfield is terrible. Our dog had been ill with a coughing since before this year and we were told it was simply Kennel Cough and that it will go away. A month later, we took him in for an examination on February 24, 2022 to which the dr. says "oh information technology's just a eye murmur, merely have him to a cardiologist."
On April ii, 2022, my dog died suddenly. After receiving the autopsy, we were told my dog had severe cancer in his spine. How did Banfield non discover this through the blood testing they allegedly did during the engagement on February 24th. My dog had been going to Banfield since 2015 and religiously went to all his appointments and received all his vaccines. Banfield is run by the near incompetent group of veterinarians I have ever met. They should have discovered this through their routine check upwards and the fact they did not concerns me for future pets that plan on going hither. The veterinarians are negligent in the fashion they treat for animals and exercise not intendance well-nigh a unmarried one.

Nothing against the doctors. Banfield has made my life easier since I have moved so much and they are everywhere. But I'm so over them. Definitely a scam. My program renewed in Nov. My dog was diagnosed with cancer. She went to the vet one time in November and they told us. Paid thousands of dollars of class. E'er. She passed four months subsequently and they won't allow me abolish her programme. I mean come up on. Tens and thousands of dollars I've spent on my 3 dogs with them.

I really wish in that location was a negative value rating, 1 star is likewise much for Banfield, or I mean Scamfield. Banfield veterinary services is horrible, I have always taken my pets to "real" veterinarian and not scamsters who employ a store front end like Banfield. My dog is a very friendly Collie Golden mix, nevertheless the tech said she was very aggressive and fleck at the muzzle. What pissed me off was that the tech said I accept a terribly bad dog, he said this in the presence of my 8 and 16 yr sometime daughters, and this only destroyed them both. I was so pissed that I had to control my temptation to escalate. During one visit, likely due to her being "caged" while we waited, she came back home and was scratching, turned out she picked upwards mange. Also Scamfield said my dog had really heavy tooth build upward.
Anyhow, after all of this I went to a real vet, and my domestic dog is happier, my kids are happier, my dog is non caged while I look, I expect with my dog, my dog does not get mange at this vet, and oh, imagine this, the real vet says her teeth are perfectly fine. Oh, better yet, at the real vet, my dog is always seen and treated by a real md, and non technicians. At Scamfield I never saw nor met a physician, ever talked to technicians. For those who don't know, exercise your research on Scamfield, they are owned by Mars, yes Mars the candy visitor, how perchance can a candy company take any inkling of how to run a veterinarian service? You get what yous pay for, and I'thou washed with Scamfield, no longer buy Mars products, and considering of the PetSmart affiliation, I no longer shop at PetSmart.

If y'all join their wellness program, exist prepared for them to try and trick y'all into renewing it. Today I brought my dog for a rabies vaccine that was going to expire in about a week and she needs information technology for boarding. I had cancelled my wellness plan a few months back to end on the 3oth of this calendar month, so information technology didn't machine-renew without knowing what was being paid for. My dog would need further vaccinations and wellness check at the finish of April, simply we needed the rabies at present, so I brought her in. I have been given various info on how shut or how far these vaccines can be through the year I accept been with them and amazingly today they could be a month early on for the sake "getting it washed all at once" and updating my plan to embrace it today, instead of coming back in April (afterwards the plan would demand to be renewed).
I was called by Amber about an hour after I dropped my canis familiaris off and offered this. When I was speaking with her what she was telling me cost-wise didn't brand sense. I had a puppy programme at 47 a month plus interceptor heartworm which gave me a monthly fee of 56 bucks. Now she was telling me that the new fee since I was taking an improved heartworm med would be most the same at 58 bucks. I questioned this because I saw the program was $33 a calendar month and wondered where this high accuse was coming from.
Well, it turns out the new hw med was not "but a few dollars more" it considerably more and the price may not have included a spay but her deceptive wording meant a few dollars more than I had been paying last yr which included a spay. I was reluctant but agreed (I should not have but I felt put on the spot). I called my hubs, and he said a few things about an overlap and prorate only wanted to look at it to empathize why the cost was not the $33.
Well Amber, when asked told me the divergence was because I was no longer on the puppy program but on an adult dog program. More than deceptive wording. I called back inside a few minutes of having gotten off with her to tell her don't do anything, my hubs wanted to look at it first. Well Thank you Amber for jumping down my throat with "Well and then you have no reason for your canis familiaris to be hither!!" after I asked her to not renew the plan still. YES, I did! The rabies vaccine I brought her in for.
Needless to say, I didn't respond calmly and told her point-blank to simply give my dog the treatment I brought her there for. Later when I went back, she acted as though I had done something to her and blamed me for her having to call corporate to change the plan. It'south amazing they could update that plan and so fast just everything else all 24-hour interval. Regardless of an inconvenience, I had been polite to her until she jumped down my throat. All she had to say was ok and let me know she would cancel it. When she gave me my papers she had connected information technology to the comments nearly corporate and I asked her what those things had to do with each other. Again a nasty mental attitude and acted as though she didn't accept to answer my questions, which I had to ask more than once how long information technology would accept to get updated papers while she and her co-worker simultaneously rolled their eyes.
Bister was clearly mad because she uses deceptive practices to get people to stay on the program and I didn't allow information technology. Her aggression towards me is the reason I now won't go dorsum there. I'm the customer I deserve to be respected. I was shocked when she remarked and so angrily that my dog didn't need to be at that place. Her beliefs was inappropriate, even if I had annoyed her by irresolute my mind. I had every right to call back and change my mind though, particularly since they endeavor to coerce people over the phone and manipulate their customers.
WORST part, they gave my dog all the treatments I declined instead of just giving her the rabies shot. They practise whatever they want. I was very clear about just giving her the rabies shot. The vet told me "she was nether the impression" I had wanted those services, despite my having been very clear with Amber what I wanted done and specifically said only the rabies shot. Still, when I spoke to the vet on the phone (she chosen me) she said she hadn't washed anything nevertheless and was going to give her the rabies shot before I picked her up.
Then when I got there, they had done all the services anyway including the vaccines my dog didn't need until the end of April. I was compensated for those services I had declined, I'm just not sure what the reason was. I don't know if the vet knew how her service agent spoke to me and was trying to be overnice or if they wanted to comprehend upward their fault. Either style, they never gave me clear information on vaccinations and just practice them whenever information technology suits their convenience. Don't utilize these people. They only want to trap you in a contract and dont respect or heed to their customers. They certainly lost a customer today.

What if a random company you never did business with turned you over to a collection agency and said you owed them about $600? Wouldn't y'all call that fraud? Mayhap you might say information technology was a case of identity theft, simply go this, when I talked to Banfield they told me the only thing that matched between me and the person they provided service to was the start and last name! The phone didn't match, the address didn't friction match. So how does Banfield stop up turning me over to the collection agency? Obviously they must have searched public records for someone else with the aforementioned name and that turned out to be me. Really, I guess that does sound like identity theft doesn't it? What kind of business does this? Allow me be very clear. I did not utilise Banfield and never accept. I was told the proper noun of the pet that was treated and information technology 100% was not my pet. I was told the date of the treatment. None of our pets were treated on that engagement.
Later trying to resolve the issue through BBB, Banfield did finally reveal that the person who they provided service to as well had the same date of birth as me. Does that brand it reasonable to plow me over to the collection agency? NO Way! They are a national visitor. The thought that at that place couldn't possibly be two or more people built-in on the same mean solar day with the same name out of the whole country is ridiculous. Information technology gets even better, they so went on to say that because I claim NOT to be the person on the business relationship they could not share any additional information with me, but they still would not contact the drove agency to tell them to desist. Really? That's like saying, "Well… we're not really sure if you lot are actually be the person who owes us money but nosotros're withal going to collect from you lot because... well simply because."
Later on multiple telephone calls and correspondence through BBB, Banfield's final position was that I should file a police force study and send information technology to the collection bureau. So I did. I told the constabulary the whole story and said I hold Banfield responsible. How horrible of a visitor do you take to be when even people who aren't your customers are filing complaints against you? I feel very sorry for people who really are customers with this horrible company.

Banfield Pet Hospitals. I set up teeth cleaning and suddenly all three of my dogs had heart murmurs so Banfield said no. I took one to another vet and he said no murmur and the cleaning went well. Later that year information technology was time to euthanize my elderly dog and I was put in a room crying while they took him. I have e'er held my canis familiaris when the injections are used. For an hr hour they kept my dog and the nurse and vet kept ducking in request questions while I cried. I am 79 and it was very stressful. Finally they said that despite all his problems his heart was okay and they wouldn't practice it. They treated me similar I was a very bad person and information technology injure so much. And so when I tried to cancel my plan they refused unless I paid For the whole year.

Awful. The process to log in is absurd. Accessing a alive person to aid with account info and equally annoying. I spent 2 hours trying to cancel my pet insurance, and failed. Ended upwards calling my depository financial institution and volition still demand to follow upward with them. We used to take our pets for preparation there, until we read that several had died in their care under horrible circumstances. Nevertheless, we felt the vets were qualified. Until our puppy was misdiagnosed. At that point we decided to cancel our pet insurance, but after numerous attempts at getting through, we realized the entire process is corrupt. This is not a company you want to trust with your pets.

I accept numerous issues with this company as many of yous. My pet was misdiagnosed, customer service, etc. Some other vet diagnosed the pet correctly. When I complained I got resistance from the clinic and corporate. I feel they don't care. I eventually had to file a complaint with my land'south attorney against Medical Management International, Inc. dba Banfield, The Pet Hospital. Don't bring your pet here! I take and so much regret.

I first came to Banfield after purchasing a new doberman pinscher puppy. I went into PetSmart looking for a sure make of dog food, and decided to inquire about a pet healthcare plan. My starting time alarm should take been the "I don't care" attitude the forepart desk gave me when I approached them. However I did return to bring my pup to her beginning visit. When talking to the front desk I wanted a detailed explanation of what would exist done and the price. The lady quoted me a full toll of $320 for all her shots and heartworm medicine. When I returned to option up my doggy they then gave me a price almost double! I asked why is the price not what I agreed to in dropoff and the lady simply said they must've left off the domestic dog's medicine. I paid and left feeling a sure way merely glad my domestic dog was safe.
I returned for her second round of shots iii weeks later. Once more I was quoted a price and given a higher toll on pickup. Once more I ask why is it higher than the quoted cost on dropoff. The nurse just looked at me like she was going to hold my canis familiaris earnest to this scam they keep pulling. When I made it aware this is the second time they've charge me more than my quote. She tried to smoothen it over once again acting confused on why I was quoted a lower price. Again shrugging her shoulders like "are yous going to pay or non?" I paid and told her I would do a review of the visitor for how I was treated. This is all I tin do as they already take my money. Almost $600 simply for rabies shots and heartworm medicine in less than a calendar month!
I chosen a vet near my house and they stated they could have done the same for less than half that price. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET Hither! The entrance hall was filled with doom and gloom of complaining customers talking over the cry of screaming pets in the background (I wondered what they were doing to her). This is my outset and worst experience dealing with a pet hospital. I hope it'due south a one off.
