The armies are prepare to fight Jesus, who is returning on His horse. The eons-long hatred of satan confronting the Holy One will culminate ins a fruitless assembly of the earth's military to fight Him who is called True-blue and True.
Of course it is over in a moment. Jesus utters a give-and-take and they all fall. Satan is captured and locked up and the antichrist & false prophet, who are leading the armies, are captured and thrown into the Lake of Fire. This scene is previewed for the states in John 18:6. When the soldiers who had come to arrest Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane asked if He is the man they are seeking, Jesus replied 'I AM He'. And the soldiers all fell to the ground under the power of His proper noun. They will do the same at Armageddon. And the vultures will feast on their dead carcasses.
In two Peter iii, Peter is writing reassurances to the Christians at that fourth dimension (and united states at this time). "Knowing this beforehand"…nosotros know how much satan hates us, so let'southward exist holy and diligent. Why diligence? Because of the satanic hatred leveled at us every 2d of every day. (Ephesians 6:10-20). What is diligence? Pray ceaselessly. Read the bible daily. Encourage one some other constantly. Tithe or donate sacrificially to meet needs. As Peter urged, remain stable – and that stability is only on the Rock. Cling to the dearest of Jesus, but don't relax in knowing satan's hate volition try to knock you off your game. Don't underestimate his prowling and his constant and sole goal of destruction
No matter how or where or why satan has his schemes, no affair how deep his hatred is for Jesus and by extension, of us, it will all come to naught. Our momentary afflictions are only a wisp of time and well-nigh weightless compared to the glory and joy awaiting us in heaven.
